Aircraft Ground Transport FAQs

Understand the information, preparation and responsibilities involved in moving an aircraft by road.

What aircraft can you move by road?+

We consider light airplanes, kit and homebuilt aircraft, unfinished projects, gliders, aviation components, ultralight projects, gyroplanes and selected small helicopters. Suitability depends on prepared size, weight, access and handling.

Does the transport company remove wings or rotor blades?+

No. Aircraft disassembly, preservation, reassembly and maintenance documentation remain the owner’s responsibility through appropriately qualified aviation personnel. We plan around the configuration supplied for transportation.

Should I send flying dimensions or transport dimensions?+

Provide the maximum length, width and height in the exact road-ready configuration that will arrive for loading, plus weight and dimensions for all separated components.

Can an unfinished kit airplane be transported?+

Yes. Crated kits, sub-kits, partially assembled fuselages, wing sets and other project stages can be considered when every major piece is inventoried and prepared for handling.

Do you transport helicopters?+

Selected small helicopters and rotorcraft projects can be considered after the owner provides the prepared envelope, weight, component inventory, supports and qualified aviation preparation details.

Do you serve the entire United States?+

Service covers the Lower 48 contiguous states.

What must the pickup location provide?+

Requirements vary. Confirm safe access, adequate room, suitable surface conditions, agreed loading equipment or help, and all owner-provided aircraft supports or packaging.

How can I get pricing?+
